Biography

Yue He is an Assistant Researcher at the Institute of Carbon Neutrality, Peking University. Yue He received a B.S. from the College of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University in 2016, and a Ph.D. in Physical Geography from the College of Urban and Environmental Sciences, Peking University in 2021, followed by joint postdoctoral research at Peking University and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) from 2021 to 2023. Yue He’s research centers on how climate change and human activities, especially land-use change, affect key processes and dynamics of the terrestrial carbon cycle. Primary research approaches include machine learning, fusion and mining of multi-source remote-sensing and ground-based observations, and the development and application of reduced-complexity Earth system models. Yue He has published as first or corresponding author in Nature, Nature Communications, Global Change Biology, and Science Bulletin, among others.
