Professional Summary
Dr. Binbin Wang is Founder of C Force Lab — a platform she launched at COP29 in Baku to advance "Civilization-based Solutions" (CbS), a framework that moves climate governance beyond technocratic fixes to embrace civilizational diversity and local knowledge.
Her climate engagement began in 2009 at COP15 and has spanned grassroots adaptation, policy advocacy, and high-level diplomacy — including service as Special Advisor to the UN Secretary-General's Office and Executive Secretary of the Global Alliance of Universities on Climate (GAUC), where she led a 15-university network across five continents.
She launched the Beyond Climate Dialogue featuring global thought leaders including Mary Evelyn Tucker, Satish Kummar, and Johan Rockström, initiated the "Ancient Wisdom for Modern Challenges" Global Dialogueat the United Nations Office at Geneva (2025), co-architect the Civilization-based Solutions (CbS) framework with Mary Evelyn Tucker and John Grim from Yale School of Environment (2026).
Her work has been recognized with the National Geographic Wayfinder Award (2026), the World Bank Asia-Pacific Outstanding Women Award (2023), a Yale World Fellow (2023) and Homeward Bound (2018, Global Female Scientists Leadership Program). She is the first Chinese author to publish a sole-authored English monograph on global climate governance with Springer Nature.
